As a social policy professional I know that without stable housing people struggle to have good physical and mental health, or to achieve academic and professional goals. I also know that most chronically homeless adults start out as homeless youth. Youth Without Shelter works to stop youth homelessness in its tracks. By providing housing and support services YWS is making a difference every day in the lives of young people – walking with them on their journey to long-term stable housing. I am excited to be a member of the YWS board and to be part of this journey too.
